The Nashville Windows Azure Users Group has been in existence for less than a year, but we have already become a popular meeting place for anyone wanting to learn how to take advantage of Windows Azure or wanting to meet other like-minded individuals who are either considering their options or already taking advantage of the platform to solve their business and technical problems. This includes all management and technical levels such as CIO, CTO, Architect, Developer, Infrastructure Manager and others.
Here in Nashville Healthcare is a major (if not the major ) industry. This industry has only just begun to tap the resources of Windows Azure, Microsoft’s Public Cloud platform. Our February 12, 2014 meeting will be devoted to a discussion of Windows Azure in Healthcare.
During this meeting we will cover:
- Why you should adopt Windows Azure for Public Cloud and/or Hybrid Public/Private Cloud solutions
- Key adoption challenges for IT and how to overcome them.
- Technical features that you can use to take advantage of Windows Azure.
- Some key result scenarios for immediate advantage.
We will also have an open Q&A and informal discussion on the subject at the end of the meeting. Following that we will raffle off some goodies contributed by our sponsors. Pizza and soda will be served to the group courtesy of our sponsor, Vaco.
